Free Quotes, Client Samples, and Can You Request Them?

fullsizeoutput_18f5.jpg

I’ve always offered samples to my clients and their free of charge if I’m hired. But, I always get a little resistance when I have to go into explaining the process. I won’t go into the sample fee because it depends on what I’m creating and how large the sample request is, but it’s taken off if I’m hired. If hired asap, then theirs no questions asked and I create the sample. Of course my reasons for charging are due to clients taking my work to another artist, who gave them a lower price. There’s nothing like driving down the road and seeing your design on a wall that you were supposed to paint. I don’t get beat up about it anymore though. One thing I’ve realized is that, NOT EVERYONE IS MY CUSTOMER. I want everyone to be, but it just doesn’t always work out that way. Samples are also not always needed and I’ve never created one for a sky mural.

I also always give out FREE quotes, but I need info on the project to do so. Typical info I need to quote a mural is listed below.

  • room size

  • wall or ceiling size

  • texture of wall or ceiling

  • location

  • vision or what your wanting

  • is a scaffold needed

  • out of state expenses if applicable

I’m always welcoming quote requests, advice to other artists/clients, and I always respond within 24 hours. So if you’d like a quote on a mural or something else, click here to do so. It’s a beautiful day here in Fort Worth Texas and it’s Friday! The rest of my day consists of working on a custom order for a client, shipping, getting a 4.5 mile run in, taking my pups for a walk, and then finally some down time.

    Ciao xoxo
